ASPIRATIONS CARE

We were delighted to supply Aspirations Care with branded kit for their upcoming Snowdon challenge. Julie Kilgour at Aspirations Care explained a little further about the challenge –

“We chose Bequestrian to provide us with a variety of outdoor wear for our upcoming challenge, the reason is we have used Bequestrian before based on their amazing, responsive and knowledgeable team, the quality, variety and range of products available and their superb service and patience!! They are always our first choice for all these reasons.

Aspirations supports people across the country to live as independently as possible. We support people with learning disabilities, Autism and mental ill health. Aspirations are celebrating a 10 year anniversary this year and we wanted to mark the anniversary and the testing times we have all experienced a little differently this year!

During the lockdown the people we support have created positivity boards and future / hopes and dreams plans to have something to look forward to and a physical and health challenge after what has been a very unusual time. One of the ladies we support in Hertfordshire wanted to ‘conquer Snowdon’, as it transpired she was not alone, this was very popular!!!

So as opposed to an annual dinner we wanted to do something meaningful, healthy and personal in these strange and testing times.

Aspirations will be supporting 36 people we support and their staff to walk to the summit of Snowdon on the Llanberis path, on the 18th September 2021. 

We have support from trained mountain guides (Blackdog outdoors -Black Dog Outdoors) all of which are mental health first aiders. Many of the people we work alongside have supported us with sponsorship which has meant we can fully kit our everyone is branded outdoor wear, thanks to @Bequestrian and @Bridgedale and also provide all our walkers with smart watches to track their training progress
